Refund & Cancellation Policy
When you can get your money back, and how to ask.
In force 12 August 2026 · Version 1.0
Operator: Mind Hack, Inc., 651 N Broad St Ste 104, Middletown, DE 19709-6401, United States. All prices in USD. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
Effective date: 12 August 2026. Version: 1.0.
1. Monthly plans and add-ons
- Cancel any time, self-serve, from your account portal. No phone calls, no retention scripts.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your sites and features keep working until then.
- No proration: we do not refund the unused part of a month. Plan prices ($12–$249/mo) are set with that simplicity in mind.
- Add-ons (Mailee $15/mo, Reviews & Reputation $19/mo, Prospector $49/mo) and white-label packs ($70–$400/mo) work exactly the same way: cancel any time, effective at period end, no proration.
- First-subscription goodwill. If this is your first-ever Groundcraft subscription and it is not working out, tell us within 14 days of the first charge and we will refund that charge in full and close the plan. Once per customer, and it does not apply to build plans, which have their own ladder in §2.
- If we terminate your account other than for cause (Terms §11) — for example, we discontinue the service — we will refund the unused remainder of the period. If we terminate for cause (acceptable-use violation, non-payment), no refund is due.
- Billing errors are always refunded in full: if we charged you wrongly, tell us and we fix it, no window.
2. “Website, built for you” (Ignition $399 · Orbit $699 · Apollo $1,199)
A build plan is a fulfilled service (Terms §6). It is bespoke work: once we start, the hours are spent on your site and cannot be resold to anyone else, and the year-one domain, hosting and SSL have already been bought and issued in your name.
| Stage | What has happened | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| Before the build starts | You purchased, but we have not emailed you to say the build has begun | Full refund |
| After the build starts | We have emailed you that work has begun — building, review, revisions, handoff | No refund |
The boundary is an email, not a judgement call. We send you a “your build has started” email the moment work begins. Until that email lands, you can ask for your money back and get all of it, for any reason or none. That is the whole test, and it is deliberately one you can check in your own inbox.
Also stated plainly:
- If you go quiet at intake, the build never starts — you stay on the top row and can have your money back. We hold the purchase for you rather than closing it (Terms §6).
- If you go quiet after we deliver the site for review, the work is done. After 14 days we complete the handoff and close the engagement; no refund is due, and the site is yours.
- The one included revision round (Terms §6) is part of the service, not a refund trigger. “I want a different website than the one I described at intake” is a new scope conversation, not a defect.
- If we fail to deliver — we take your money and no build materializes within a reasonable time despite your complete intake — that is a full refund and an apology, at any stage. This clause exists on purpose and we will not argue about it.
- The build and any hosting plan are separate purchases with separate rules: refunding one does not cancel the other.
3. AI credits
- Consumed credits are non-refundable. A credit is consumed when the AI operation it paid for runs; the compute is spent at that moment.
- Unused credits do not expire, and we refund them at purchase price if you close your account.
- If a metered operation fails on our side (platform error, no output), the credits are re-credited automatically — that is an operational guarantee, not a refund.
4. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method via WooCommerce Payments (Stripe). Allow 5–10 business days for the card networks to post it. If the original card no longer exists, we will arrange an alternative with you.
5. Chargebacks
Talk to us first. A refund under this policy is faster than a dispute, and we honor this policy without argument — you do not need a card network to make us do what is written here. A chargeback filed while an account has outstanding service may lead to suspension of that account until it is resolved.
6. Contact
Refund requests: from your account portal, or hello@groundcraft.dev · (240) 573-1425. Tell us your order number — or just the email address you bought with — and what went wrong.
